Spoilers Who is the Borg Queen?

I doubt the masked Queen is Jurati, for the simple reason that the new Queen she's becoming was to be one of more peaceful intent. The masked one started assimilate the Stargazer almost straight away.

I'm feeling a blind card coming on.

Its his mom, they both said look up lol.

So elnor is on the borg ship. Awesome.

As far as I know, Elnor is dead, unless he magically reappears after the timeline is fixed.

I think all that assimilating was just a red herring, and the Queen’s actions will be explained. Either way, we’ll find out in a day.

I forget the episode title but in Voyager, the resurrect Neelix using Sevens Borg nanoprobes. She says they can restore life up to 3 days or something after death so….

I think she was acting to prevent the cannibalised Borg tech from independently taking over the Federation ships. Call it a Borg poison pill; adapt and use their tech, end up part of the Collective. NuBorg Queen shuts it down.

And now we know :D

^^
That was so so obvious, and very lazy writing. We all guessed this from the start. As a wise man once said though, it’s not about the destination, but about the journey getting there.

Obvious it was, at least from around episode 4 onwards, but I wouldn't call it "lazy" writing given the convoluted plot needed to get there. "Overzealous" writing is more like it.

That said, I do enjoy the concept of the Borg/Jurati mix. Now I just need to know where she was for 400 years while the other Borg were wreaking havoc around the galaxy.

I was hoping it was not going to be Jurati only because it seemed too obvious. I still wonder if the Borg Queen's line from Season 1 "Annika still has work to do," will come to mean anything.

Maybe Rios' ship broke down, and she had to get out and push. That would probably mean a 400-year journey to the Delta Quadrant.

But it's not a given that the Borg would've welcomed the new "enlightened queen" with open arms, especially assuming there was already a queen there. Perhaps a power struggle ensued and Jurati won them over with her singing, to avoid a nasty Borg civil war. ;)

Or she waited to make her appearance until the VOY queen was dead, and stayed on ice 'til then.

Haven't read any of the other posts:

Looking at FC, VOY, and PIC, the Borg Queen is a consciousness that transfers from body-to-body, hosted by other Borg Queens. Possibly simultaneously. She has a mind that splits off into different directions and different bodies but is all one being. She's multiple people with one mind that's linked to several other minds which are drones who aren't Borg Queen hosts.

So when the Borg Queen ended up in the Confederation Timeline via Q and went back in time, that part of the Borg Queen's mind was split off. That split off mind transferred into Jurati when the Borg Queen's host body was killed. From there, the internal struggle between the Borg Queen and Jurati led to a mutation that created the Jurati-Borg Queen.

The Jurati-Borg Queen and the normal Borg Queen in 2401 are now two different beings.

I have no idea how that lines up with what everyone else thinks, but those are my thoughts without reading any other input, and just looking at what I can piece together from what I've seen on-screen from First Contact on.

I agree that there are two Queens in play in 2401 now. The Jurati Queen being from a separate timeline / alt universe. I can see the two Queens coming into conflict though. Like two bee hives in a turf war. There can be only one Queen.

If Paramount+ ever decides to make its own version of TV Movies, this is something I'd want to see. It would be like "Dark Frontier" but larger in scale and even more personal in scope.
