Spoilers Who is the antagonist now?

1. Terran Empire and Empress Hoshi Sato Herself long may she reign.

2. Mysterious Forces of Nature.

3. Well established canonical race but rebooted, reimagined and recolored.

The antagonist would be rest of the Klingons who are still heck-bent on fighting the Federation despite having one of their ships destroyed.

That's a good question. Was L'Rell planning on getting on Discovery all along? Is that why she kidnapped Lorca? She wanted to get Ash onto Discovery, but she couldn't have known about Cornwell, or any of the other sequence of events that brought her there...right???
L'Rell wants the Albino to rule Klingondom(maybe? And who made the Albino leader anyway? He was a nobody, and had just met T'Kuvma). Was she an actual follower of T'Kuvma, or was she there with ulterior motives from the start? Is L'Rell an all powerful space wizard?
Why did Kol spout off T'Kuvma's slogans? He doesn't care about his cause, or the Federation, or Klingon klingogeny, or even the war. He just wanted power for himself, and hated T'Kuvma(and his band of disciples).

I think the "war arc" is basically over. Lorca is the villain, as he is a deceiver.

Orville fans. :shifty:

:p

Trekkies are the primary antagonist. Always has been.

The Canon extremists!

The Orvillians ;)

Armus, who will be the in-universe stand-in for all the butthurt and fanrage.
"Know your enemy, and make it known"

Does there need to be a primary antagonist? Clearly L'Rell will be an issue going forward, but maybe the crew's "antagonist" will be themselves — literally or figuratively — as they deal with whatever they find out there.

Oh. I saw the first one in the theater and it bored me. I've never seen any of the others.
Well then, specifically, it's from the 2nd movie, The Chamber of Secrets.

The Pahvans.

"The Federation has abandoned us, despite the fact that we appeared to be a non-violent race who only wished to broker peace in the Quadrants. Therefore, we will destroy their precious mycelial network, thus cutting off their ability to traverse the multiverse."

Saru: "As you wish, my Lord."

Mirror Universe Lorca would be cool. But I also believe that there doesn't necessarily need to be a primary antagonist when there are only a few episodes left. The biggest problem could be whatever messed up mechanism got the ship lost in space/time, and figuring out how to defeat it.

I envision the human/federation equivalent of this:
