I certainly wouldn't say I'm a fan, but the few songs of hers that I've heard are somewhat catchy, in that "dance-pop" sort of way. I must admit, though, that whole genre tends to wear thin with me very quickly, so I doubt I'd be able to listen to an entire album of her stuff.

I doubt it, I don't think she ever went to an Athletics World Championship let alone won the finals of the 800m event.
Well, I read on Wikipedia that she chose her entertainment name as a reference to that song. I know Wikipedia isn't always reliable, but it seems plausible to me.

There was a thread on this a while back an no one could produce any proof of this. As far as I'm concerned until she makes a statement I will assume it's just a rumour.
Having said that I find a few of her songs catchy but she is a bit too "out there" for me.
Well...I was going to dismiss her as just another flash-in-the-pan kiddie celeb. But...since she's obviously a fan of the great Emile Meyer in the great western "Shane," I guess I'll give her another chance.Unfortunately, no one can be told who Lady Gaga is. You have to see her for yourself.
She's kind of like Elton John, mixed in with David Bowie... but a little more masculine.
That damned Poker Face song is absurdly catchy, and whenever she performs she seems to actually sing unlike all the loser pop singers around. I think she'll have more staying power than losers like Britney Spears, and we're not even rid of Britney yet for some reason I'm failing to understand.

Honestly I doubt she'll be around this time next year - I'm pretty sure she's a she... although we need to wait until she gets bombed out of her gourd and forgets to wear panties around the paparazzi and then we'll know for sure! LOL
I've heard a couple of her songs, but honestly... nothing that any of the other pop tarts couldn't have crapped out. Okay so she can play keyboard/piano...that means she's actually got SOME musical talent beyond being able to look pretty while electronically enhanced music emits from her yap. I can see this ditz running completely out of money, fame and record deals and going back to her roots and playing in smokey bars.
As a lounge act, she's great, I'd put a buck or two in her tip jar, but I think in some ways she's not ready for the "Bigs". The costumes and goofy outfits she throws together are about the only thing that makes anyone pay any bit of attention to her.

That's what I heard. Even gay guys dig her.
I think she's a fascinating piece of entertainment but her music sucks. She does have a good voice, better than most pop tarts out nowadays.

I do like "Poker Face" and I'm not a big fan of contemporary Pop music. I think she's got potential if she won't let it get to her head.
