Who do you think the Key Grip and Drivers should be

Dieter Bähr is a hack! He has some good key-gripping early on, but he's been recycling it for years....

"For pete's sake this is serious.

If they don't get the catering correct there will never be another trek movie, book, tv show, cartoon, video game or website."

You forgot Kirk/Spock slash fan fic ;)

Duh.

They really need to ditch whatever horsecrap Orci and Kurzman came up with, I mean, Transformers, it sold less tickets that that dumb Drew Barrymore movie.

They need to use this

*** warning, not work safe

If they don't do that and use another script instead no one is going to go see the damn movie because it won't be factually accurate and there won't be any surprises

I swear if Chili's doesn't cater this movie it's gonna suck and blow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So who's going to be the Clapper Loader and Best Boy? :D

I have a problem with giving anyone associated with the movie the clap.

That's not very nice.

A Clapper Loader is the person who puts the film in the cameras.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clapper_loader

A clapper loader, second assistant camera (2nd AC) or simply loader, is part of a film crew, whose main functions are that of loading the raw film stock into camera magazines, operating the clapperboard (slate) at the beginning of each take, marking the actors as necessary, and maintaining all records and paperwork for the camera department. The name "clapper loader" tends to be used in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth, while second assistant camera tends to be favoured in the United States, but the job is essentially the same whichever title is used. The specific responsibilities and division of labor within the department will almost always vary depending on the circumstances of the shoot.

Although with digital cameras I don't know if the job is still the same.

Guys, guys, guys. You've got it all wrong.

The most important part of the whole process is who will distribute the movie. And not just in any market, no no no!

The key indicator to whether this new vision of Star Trek will stand or fall is the distributor. In Latvia.

Will it be Daugava Film Distibutors, or Spilves Lidosta?

In the past, Daugava had the odd numbered films, Spilves Lidosta the even numbered, after each company bidded on them using the agency International Distribution Model.

I rest my case.

(Uhm. By the way. Uhm. Which were the ones that weren't so good?)

I think before you worry about grips, you might want to have a building, a stage, an effects shop, and a work order, don't you?

Why do you need all this crap for a movie filmed on a space ship?

Pessimist.

I'm serious. This is why I can't believe the absolutely ludicrous claims that have been made on this forum and other places that they're going to have carpenters.

What.

A wooden spaceship?

MMMMkay.

They have all of that.

On with the grips.
