Who do you think the director of Trek XI will be?

Tamek

This is perhaps one of the most important decisions, because the director tells the actors how to act and what to act out.

And none of this "JJ Abrams is directing" rumor-mongering.

It's hooey.

I think it will be the great Berman and Braga directing it again!

Seriously....very important, who do you guys think the director will be?

Leonard Nimoy.

Michael Bay? I sure hope not.

Personally, I want Robert Wise, however unfeasible that might sound (and he is, sadly, no longer with us).

What about Garrett Wang? He did all that bitching about not being able to get a directing shot during Voyager (despite, apparently, not putting any time and effort into learning the craft), so he probably feels Star Trek owes him one and a feature film would be a good rookie shot. :)

Well, while we're raising the dead, why not have Wise edit and Orson Welles direct? It'll be like a Citizen Kane class reunion. :p

Who's going to direct the next Star Trek? This is like posting a "Who's going to play Spock?" or "Will Leonard Nimoy be in the movie?" thread.

Star Trek XI will feature a rookie director and be the premise for the next Project Greenlight.

Nimoy would be exceedingly awesome, but if it isn't Abrams I really have no clue. I suspect they'll avoid anyone with too close of ties to the franchise's dying years.
