Who did Janeway go home to?

No one. Her character became a martyr so the rest of her crew could have relationships and families. That's clear enough from "Endgame". I imagine she got that apartment in San Fran and buried herself in work, hence why she appears as an admiral in Nemesis.

That may have been the older Janeway's fate but I like to think the younger one now has a lot more options. :)

I think I've become cynical on Ms Janeway's fate after all these years

TighsEye Of course she could. I was originally kidding with that remark, hence the remark about him being good with Beatrice. However, it's a possibility, at least in the older version of Janeway's timeline.

She struck quite a blow or two for holographic rights. If Michael eventually developed sentience, like The Doctor, which might have happened in the longer journey, and she didn't make any more adjustments, there'd be no reason not to stay with him, unless they simply broke up.

Then again, he might not have ever developed sentience.

Why is that?

I am of the idea that the doctor, despite his being an incredible character, is just a piece of equipment. So, I don't see how any other holo-gram could be sentient.

Janeway would go home to a string of cadets, one after the other

:guffaw: :guffaw:

"Take your clothes off! That's an order!!!" :guffaw: Oh man...

Being the sentimental fool I am, maybe her and Chakotay found each other somehow. *le sigh.*

^I don't see the cadet thing. Everyone we saw Janeway even flirt with tended to be slightly older than her, or at least seemed slightly older than her, unless you count the whole warp 10 thing or the holo-novel guy.

Edit I babbled a lot looking up exact ages on IMDb where available, and all of that was really unneccissary.

^I might bring fruit and/or icecream, since if there's a J/C club, I'm totally there. We'll have to put that in writing though, so that people don't think we're Jaycees.

Ooh, I love to pour espresso over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!

I'm more cynical in general :p and what I've learnt is that the only characters that seem to be the ones more likely to have a happy ending are the young hot characters. Everyone else usually becomes plot fodder.

Well that doesn't seem to apply to the men - Chakotay was older than Janeway at the start of the series but his age got younger after "Endgame" for some reason.

I agree with you though that older women in Hollywood in general (not that Mulgrew/Janeway was THAT old) get shafted in the romance department pretty much like in life. That's pretty much why I don't watch TV anymore - except for BSG of course.

At least there's an extremely active fanfiction community that is more than willing to give Janeway her due. :)

Well, she was fairly young and even a few years later there's an entire "sexy" picture thread devoted to her. Shouldn't that count?

(Note: I said "shouldn't," not "didn't." I know better.)

You would think so!
