Quite apart froom the day to day dirt acumlating on the decks, it must be someones job to remove dead red shirts from the decks, let along when someone staggers out of Ten Forward at 1 am, just as the Ship desribes a negative g manouver. messy!
The ship, or "the ship"?I don't know who cleans the Enterprise but I do know Captain Janeway's favourite form of punishment was to make Harry Kim clean the ship with his tongue.
I'm a moderately fanatical fan of Star Trek, but I had a roommate back in the early 90's who thought that it would be really cool if we were janitors on the Enterprise. You know, no real responsibilities, essentially a cake job in the Federation, but able to be a part of the whole experience; kind of like the peanut gallery... he really got into the whole fantasy. So I realized that I need to keep a respectful distance from the more fanatical fans (didn't renew that lease). Online is close enough, but hey, you guys are great.
C'mon I'm not thinking like that, I posted a question earlier about when our timeline diverged from the ST history and someone posted "9/8/66". I should have responded to them "then why are you here?" This is a serious discussion about a fictional universe that we all wish we were a part of, including me. At the time, it made me uncomfortable that someone was more invested in the fantasy than i was because I wasn't comfortable with my own feelings about it all. Now IDGAF what people think, i was just relating a moment from my past but didn't give it the proper context, my apologies. Does anyone else sometimes now or in the past feel embarrassed by their passion for this show?Yes we know it's just a TV show.

Whoever is doing it,it does a terrible job (although it can be only seen on the Blu-Rays).
If it wasn't already, this emoji has just become utterly filthy.
Do you mean Mr. Orton from Starship Mine, "cleaning" the Enterprise with a baryon sweep?M-O (who can guess the reference?)
It may suprise you but there are people out who love cleaning up and keep things tidy.
In VOY Zimmerman states something along the lines that the EMH mark 1 was decommissioned and was cleaning salvage ships or something (can't remember) so I would have to assume that some less advanced photonic being is doing the dirty work on the enterprise
