I wish I could have added TOS in the proceedings, but it never had a true finale (though I'd like to consider a comic story written by Mike W. Barr to be a good story that would fit that bill).

So of the ones listed, which one was the best finale for the respective Trek series?

It's actually a tough call for me between TNG's and DS9's. They were both pretty exciting ended on excellent notes. DS9's kind of dragged for a while there, but ultimately I feel it had more closure. Plus it wasn't a reset button with only one character remembering what actually happened. ;)

Even Niners agree: TNG's "All Good Things ..." was the best Trek finale.

Same here.

What I love about TNG's finale, was how it came full circle with the show's pilot, and showing how everyone was in the future and all that. But DS9 really does well as well, by concluding Sisko's journey and showing the rest of the characters to a new path and all. And the montages were sweet and to the point - though Jadzia was surely missed in those moments, especially for Worf.

I loved both TNG's and DS9's finales, but DS9's What You Leave Behind gets my vote. I really liked the way it ended and the montage at the end of the episode was beautiful.

Agreed.

And what the hell is TATV even doing on this poll??

What? Oh, come on, SOMEBODY had to bring that up.

DS9: That montage at the end and Jake wistfully watching the wormhole with Kira... and the camera pulls back from the station ... magnificient!

I really liked "All Good Things". A great episode.

A good ending to the show which did show us that the series was over but not the adventures of the crew. There would be movies and books for the fans.

I didn't really like the DS9 final. Too many depressive things.

"Endgame" was horrible. A sad end to a show which started so good.

I haven't watched the "Enterprise" final, I've only seen that it often gets bad reviews.

I like All Good Things the best out of that lot. The premise of showing the crew in the three time periods was original, and it allowed us to see how much things had changed.

What You Leave Behind was not bad, but the end of the Dominion War was a bit rushed, and there were a few storylines that were left hanging (the fate of Sisko annoyed me at the time).

Endgame was a mess.

TATV was, too. But it wouldn't have been bad if it was just an ordinary episode, and not the finale.

'What you leave behind' was just too depressing for me, gotta go with 'All good things.'

My vote was for TNG simply because it felt more like an ending then the others ...... especially that ENT piece of ..............%£"&@#

DS-9 ws the only one that did it right. TNG had flaws in the plot you could drive Galaxy-class ships through, Voyager almost did it right but didn't play up the arrival home enough and as for TATV-well, enough people have already said what I think(copout) that I don't feel like I can add to it(copout) so there's no point in saying anything about it(copout) beyond what's already been said.(copout)

All Good Things... for me as well. Though I think it was at the advantage in that it could be big and spectacular, but otherwise largely just a regular episode. What You Leave Behind, on the other hand, had 2359872359 threads to try and wrap up, and so some of them got shoddy treatment and others got ignored altogether.

Endgame was largely a mess, and I'm not touching TATV.
