Not quite accurate. Most of the Spock Walk was models and artwork and "compsy" elements shot via a motion control camera. The V'ger interior is just a big smoked up practical model, also shot via motion control.And that whole sequence was frame by frame animation I believe. no computers back then!The trip through V'Ger is certainly impressive.
