Jeremy Aster. I know that's a pretty obscure character, but he was literally taken in as Worf's brother and we never heard from him again, or even had any reference to him whatsoever. The kid was brought into Worf's family and that's just a one episode thing? Nah...that should've made him a recurring character. Either that, or they shouldn't have made him Worf's brother.

Saavik? I guess. This was a difficult one to answer for me lol

I attended a one-day event at which George Takei was the guest of honor. I didn't get to meet him, though.

If you really want to stretch it... of the well-known fans/people who have worked on Star Trek who also had cameo roles, I have met both Bjo Trimble and David Gerrold (both were in the recreation deck scene in ST:TMP).

Sadly, the two I'd most have liked to hang out with have died.

Of those still alive, I'd choose George Takei. I read his autobiography, and found it very interesting. There's been far more to his life than just Star Trek.

1. Kind of met William Shatner. I've taken a picture with him, said just a few words to him (Thanks for coming!) and that was it. I've actually met Marina Sirtis (hilarious) and Jonathan Frakes (also hilarious). Ran into Robert Picardo in a bathroom at a convention. He held a door for me and it was awkward but also kind of awesome.
   
2. Oh easy, John Billingsley. Dude is so outgoing and funny, but he doesn't seem intimidating like Sirtis or Frakes. Really the whole cast of Enterprise. If you're ever at a con and the ENT cast has a panel, GO TO THAT ONE. Skip whatever panel is on at the same time. I'm serious. They're so happy to be there and for people to come hear them talk. There's really a camaraderie and love for the fans there. It's an intimate setting because it's not like the TNG panels with crowds spilling out of the room. So good.

5. In combat, Sisko and Kira. No question. They don't screw around.
6. I don't think there are any Trek characters that annoy me in that way. At least not Federation characters.

As if it would be any other character but Neelix. The hedgehog really is the universal punching bag.

Sad to see leave: The Doctor on Voyager. Picardo could brighten up a really dull episode with just a few minutes of screentime. Seven as well for being the only other character on Voyager to get any kind of clear growth without treading backwards for an episode.
Happy to leave: Since Pulaski actually did leave the show she was on I can't go there. I really want to avoid the obvious with Neelix, but there's just no one else so unlikeable who stayed on as long as he did.

Might be cheating, but I'm gonna say Shran on Enterprise. I know there were plans to make him an actual main cast member if the show hadn't been cancelled which makes him an obvious choice. A shame, too, 'cause Combs really deserved to finally get his name in the opening credits after all the work he did for the franchise.
Second choice would be Commander Shelby from Best of Both Worlds. Yeah they brought her back in the books, but I felt she had what it took to be a regular onscreen.
My third choice is a toss-up between Carol Marcus and Jaylah in the movies. I liked both characters and the new Enterprise needs more female main characters.

Robert Picardo. Hands down. He's been on Trek he's been on Stargate he's into something sci fi right now (but I forgot what).
AND he's very accessible and respectful.
Had the privilege of driving him San Diego Comic Con 2008.
I'll post his autographed head shot when I get it scanned into puter 001 tertiary sub 9.
The fact that I have it says something about Mr. Picardo (limo drivers can't be autograph hounds and stay drivers for long) but he insisted and I am glad. In that case it was the customer is always right. Wonderful conversationalist as well.

Armin Shimerman was a lot of fun, but I think probably Andy Robinson, Tim Russ or Terry Farrell if I had to pick someone new. When I met Shimerman there was virtually no line and we got to talk for a while. As far as the non-mains go, probably Chase Masterson, as I've heard that she's incredibly nice.

Serve under? Archer. Such a softy that I could get away with murder. Otherwise Geordi and Data.
