Don't worry, current Trek is all about reimagining everything. Pike's Enterprise, the TOS uniforms, the Klingons all look totally different. They won't ditch all that and then keep some fugly alternate-future costumes from Next Gen and Voyager. The All Good Things uniforms were the same as the Voyager Endgame uniforms. I hope they don't introduce those uniforms one day... Everyone looked much older in them. I guess that was the intention. The style was oldfashioned and not future-like.

As much as I like the look, they look more like J-Crew models posing for Magazine adverts for the fall fashion line then practical uniforms. It doesn't help that those two actors are amongst the best looking male actors on the main cast roster.love the updated uniforms for star trek beyond which totally fit the more grown up feel of the characters and the more stately redesign of the enterprise herself:

the rest of the starfleet uniforms in this movie were pretty whack though.
Eh, you never know. Togas were popular for as long as neckties have been, and they fell way out of favor.^I don't see ties and collars disappearing either, they've lasted this long.

It's not a very flattering uniform, but as a one-off outfit (shown in a couple of episodes) it was good. All it needed to do was show that THIS uniform is DIFFERENT than the hero costume.Another example of Bob Blackman's missteps as a costume designer.
Unless alien influence human fashion styles. The tie is just a decorative piece of clothing, it will go the way of the dodo.^I don't see ties and collars disappearing either, they've lasted this long.
And it's not universally used in all cultures on Earth today. One would hope that a more inclusive future humanity wouldn't be so Western Hemisphere-centric.Unless alien influence human fashion styles. The tie is just a decorative piece of clothing, it will go the way of the dodo.
