Which Star Trek Game would you now play or recommend?

To go through from straight memory... in no particular order...

Elite Force 1 and 2. Great FPS', I think they still hold up.

Bridge Commander. Like, the gold standard of starship sims.

Klingon Academy. Earlier Bridge Commander with a Klingon flair. Not sure if it's available digitally/will run on modern computers though.

25th Anniversary and Judgment Rites, great old school point and click adventures.

Starfleet Command 1 and 2, awesome more tactical ship combat.

Starfleet Command 3 is... fine. Not as good as 1 and 2. TNG+ era though, 1 and 2 are Movie-Era.

I personally absolutely love Starfleet Academy for SNES. Never loved the PC version.

Heck, I miss the old Star Trek Strategic Operations Simulator, especially the sit-down version.

The Elite Force games are really good. I also recommend playing STO up to the end game. The missions are pretty well done, and you can play them for free.

I second this. Many of the STO storylines are very well written (often better than what I have seen onscreen).

They really capture the feeling of 90s Trek, and a lot of the actors do really good voice overs.

I was recently playing Star Trek: New Horizons, which is a mod for Stellaris. It's pretty great (though not perfect). It's a similar concept to Birth of the Federation. I played it 5 years ago, there's been a few updates.

I’ve tried STO four times, and bounced straight off it each time. The gameplay and UI just feel so terribly dated.

I just gave up on Timelines after years on the hamster wheel.

The new Voyager game at least looks promising.

I hit STO hard for the first few years but life got in the way. I tried getting back into it last year and there's been so much added, and I'm so far behind now, I have no clue what I'm doing. I just quit again.
