The Berman era generally, but if I had to pick one I'd say TNG. It's that series which made me a fan.

I watched and enjoyed every Trek show to varying degrees, but TOS is the show I grew up on, long before any of the latter-day shows came along, so it will always be near and dear to my heart.

TOS I'd been watching a decade before TNG even came out. It takes a lot for something newer to end up being closer to one's heart.

YES! Thank you! I'm tired of Voyager's theme getting all the love when I think Deep Space 9's theme is possibly the best any Trek series has ever had*.

*Until it went a bit Chariots of Fire, anyway.

I really love Enterprise's theme music and title sequence.

It's not a bad song, or a bad title sequence. I think what soured a lot of people against ENT's intro is that it was so different from the "epic" instrumental openings of the other shows.
And that ENT wasn't a very good show (in my opinion) probably didn't help.

In a way, the show ENT actually failed to deliver on the hopeful, promising vibe of the intro.

Edit: I just found out the theme got remixed for seasons 3 and 4 and...what in the name of hell was that? The remix WAS bad!

Yes. ENT was disappointing as a prequel in a lot of ways. But I rewatched a lot of it recently and I enjoyed it more than I did at the time, possibly because I didn't have the same hopes and expectations for it that I did when it was first on tv.

Yes, the remix was bad.

DS9 - because it's so underrated.

I’m one that likes the original versions of all the Trek series themes better:

TOS was better without the opera singer.
TNG was better when it was the more continuous TMP theme, rather than the herky-jerky cut used for TV.
DS9 was better before the percussive souped-up version in later seasons.
ENT was better when it was a mellow rock ballad, not the weird folk rock re-mix.
PIC was better when the theme was introspective and quiet in S1

TOS - by a mile.
I grew up watching the reruns as a kid, and it's still my favourite series of all time. With a big nostalgic caveat: It's TOS how I perceived it at the time. Some stuff might be more outdated than I remember. Though the few episodes I rewatched since then actually did hold up really well. It was just bursting with great ideas and unique SF concepts. And TOS is WAY more cerebral & closer to TNG than people actually remember!

TNG - a veeeeeery close second.
I actually didn't like it as a kid because it was boring. But then - as a teen/young adult - I really got into the whole discussions/debates/talks they were having all the time. It might objectively be the best series of them all, the writing and storytelling is just utterly fantastic. I attribute a lot of that to the fact that the Ferengi failed as an early villain. And then they somehow managed to make an interesting SF series without a major recurring bad guy for some time.

ENT & VOY are good runner ups, enjoyed most episodes, but not big into rewatching. DS9 was ok except for the war stuff, which completely took over the show (but I love BSG!). Not a fan of the stuff since the 'Bad robot' crew (JJ Abrams, Kurtzman,...) took over. All of that just feels dumb on some level.

I think whoever wants to make new Trek show should aim at making a modern version of TNG - and THEN add some more action/adventure for good measure. Somehow everyone always wants to make a modern version of TOS, but everyone remembers that wildly different, and then everything turns into some dumb action schlock (JJmovies, late VOY, early ENT, DIS, PIC).

That being said - because of my preference - I'm hyped as fuck for "Strange New Worlds", despite ENT/ST2009 being the last live-action Trek that I actually enjoyed.
