Which/how many episodes have been remastered?

Since the TV LAND edits seem to match the Remastered ones blow for blow, I don't think we need to worry about the f/x shots of the Enterprise and Kang's ship being deleted. If I remember correctly, the TV LAND edit of "Dove" kept the phaser-destruction sequence intact.

I expect the Woden to be a reuse of the Antares/TAS ship they used in "Charlie X".

Without the forward crew section, of course. ;)

A couple of questions of my own:

- Will the remastered "The Enterprise Incident" have authentic Romulan ships (a la "Balance Of Terror") instead of Klingon cruisers masquerading as Romulan?

- General question. In the closing credits of all TOS-R eps, the still shots are from the original version (not the remastering). Any particular reason?

For "Enterprise Incident", it's a plot point that the Romulans are using Klingon cruisers. I wouldn't WANT to see a new design there, that wouldn't make sense. Now, a new 'warbird' texturing on the hull (as a lot of fan-kits already do) would be welcome, however.

I suspect that the use of the orginal credits at the end is to remind folks that there were others that came before them and did the heavy lifting on this show, and they deserve to be remembered.

It's also a lot cheaper to just keep 'em in.

True, and I'm glad they left the end credits alone. Besides, it'd take too much work to go into each f/x frame from another episode and update it...then redo the original captions and lettering so it matches the old stuff.

I love the Remastered effects and would like to see more, but NOT in the end credits. Those should remain classic.

They do that in the opening credits anyway (I assume all the opening text is new), so why not the end? ;)

More individual and distinct pictures to alter. And each frame of the closing credits has names on it, so there's more to change. First the backgrounds to slip in a new CGI shot or image, then redoing every name superimposed over top of that image or shot. Probably a lot of work, even for modern CGI remastering people. And let's not forget, Mike Okuda and his gang are on a tight schedule and are budgeted only so much from CBS/Paramount to change any particular episode. End credits aren't exactly any kind of priority.

I assume the DVD version does not do any editing like this? Meaning: You are talking about syndication cuts, yes?
