Yes, in my 26th Century.Would they all be in the same era?

Interesting.Yes, in my 26th Century.
The Milky Way Galaxy is a big place, and plenty of stories to tell.Interesting.
Indeed. The Milky Way Galaxy is a big place, and plenty of stories to tell.
I was hopeful for the Picard series, but it didn't have the same feel to it, and the conclusion of season one was not good.Based upon the poll of this thread and it's premise if you were to continue Trek forward from 2005 using that same model how would you do so?
Which was on purpose in terms of feel, which I believe is the OP's point. So, if you were to attempt the TNG style/Berman era type feel instead of the newer style hoe would you want it done?I was hopeful for the Picard series, but it didn't have the same feel to it, and the conclusion of season one was not good.
Yes. That was his point. I would have wanted the Picard series to feel more like the Berman era of Star Trek and have similar writing that drew us more towards what we saw in the TNG finale.Which was on purpose in terms of feel, which I believe is the OP's point. So how do you progress a season like that?Yes. That was his point. I would have wanted the Picard series to feel more like the Berman era of Star Trek and have similar writing that drew us more towards what we saw in the TNG finale.
You want me to write the show myself? So how do you progress a season like that?
More an idea of how you want it to unfold. Episodic or more serialized? Stories you would like to see that don't fit the current production style. Things like that. You want me to write the show myself?
I would say it starts without turning Picard into an android and killing Data (again).
Hard to envision all of those details, but I liked the look and feel of TNG and DS9. Expanding on that would have been ideal for me. I enjoyed both the story arcs of DS9 and the single episodes of both TNG and DS9.More an idea of how you want it to unfold. Episodic or more serialized? I know many want just "more TNG" but what does it look like being produced in a contemporary market?
So keep the same look?Hard to envision all of those details, but I liked the look and feel of TNG and DS9. Expanding on that would have been ideal for me. I enjoyed both the story arcs of DS9 and the single episodes of both TNG and DS9.
Roughly. I am not overly fond of the feel of the new shows. They feel like Sci-Fi with really heavy CG and not the kind of Star Trek I became accustomed to.So keep the same look?
Interesting.Roughly. I am not overly fond of the feel of the new shows. They feel like Sci-Fi with really heavy CG and not the kind of Star Trek I became accustomed to.
It's a great question. I don't know honestly because the last few seasons of Voyager and the first few seasons of Enterprise just seemed to be rehashing what came before. I liked season 4 of Enterprise because it started to actually play into the continuity side of Star Trek rather than superficial continuity such as phase pistols, photonic torpedoes. I liked that they were planning to start the Romulan War in season 5 or do that in a movie. I liked the idea that if TNG movies had continued they would have done a giant crossover movie. I would be interested to see a Kirk prequel movie from the Berman era perspective which was rumored before JJ Abrams came along. There was an animated series pitched with the Enterprise G I think which sounded interesting. None of these are my ideas. These are all things that were maybe happening before new people took over. So, playing with the premise of the thread, for those who wish the 2005 trend continued where would you take it?
Expect, no. Want, yes. Heck, I'd love for more stop motion King Kong movies. One might as well expect new DRACULA movies to model themselves on the Bela Lugosi movie, or maybe the Hammer Horror flicks of the 1960s and 70s. Or demand that Godzilla still be played by a man in a rubber suit.
