I knew that cake would be a popular option. Speaking of which...
I just had a thought....
Where is Enterprise-A at in 24th century?
We already seen TOS era Romulan BOP... so what if Riker were to “borrow” Enterprise-A from whatever museum it was in?
They could have their cake and eat it too. Riker would've taken command of an Enterprise. Just not the main one currently in service. So no pre-existing Captain to push out of the way. Making Riker more considerate than Kirk in TMP. More fitting since Decker was a proto-Riker, and the A is really just the Refit with a letter added. So, in a strange way, it would be like "Decker" getting his ship back. ;)

not even Brophy will get a slice of my cake.
How do I thumbs down this comment? :nyah::rommie::bolian::nyah::rommie::bolian::nyah::rommie:

I voted for E-F. We already saw the D, and if they’re going to show another Enterprise in this brave new future, I think they’re going to try to dazzle with something new. I only hope it isn’t hideous like I think most STO ships are and where the new uniforms look to be from.

That is.... so fitting..... so perfect.... and has the parallels with Star Trek III to boot. Wow. Amazing.

He is God. At least for some of us.

For @Isaac he is King!

Sure, Brian Brophy could have reprised his role as Maddox. He could have even been the king of streaming television. But in his own way, he is king.

Plus, Worf will never leave Starfleet. It's just not in him.

I mean, of course he'd do anything to help Picard, but at the same time he is very much "Starfleet, Fuck Yeah!"

And of course Michael Dorn would jump at the chance to play Worf again.

But I want him to look like Worf and not like the odd Discovery Klingons.

Which, IF he shows up, is Exactly What He Will Look Like according to the Producers of the show.
So, No Worries.

"...When that happens, though, how will Star Trek: Picard present Michael Dorn's iconic character? Alex Kurtzman was asked if Worf would retain his original Klingon look, or resemble something closer to the Klingons currently seen in Star Trek: Discovery. Kurtzman assured that when Worf appears in Picard, he won't look like those Klingons.

Well, he would have aged, right? But he ages a lot differently. [But] he's gotta look like Worf. We're not changing that."

That does indeed sound like a strong statement that Worf will appear. He could have just said "We're not bringing back Worf" and ended the discussion there. But instead, he said "What? Change Worf? No way!! We can't change Worf. No way we'd do that. Worf is Worf, you know. W̶h̶e̶n̶ If we finally bring him back in the season finale with Geordi and Crusher, he'll totally look like the Worf you know."

Plus, they already showed an archived photo of Worf from "Sins of the Father" (TNG) in "Remembrance" (PIC).

They'll just do with the Klingons what they did with the Romulans in this series and show that there are all kinds of Klingons.
