"Way of the Warrior", there's invading force of Klingons and Odo... punches them one on one?

He basically sucks unless he needs to... pull someone off a ladder or trip people?

You forget that Odo was very much against using weapons. This was established very early on... "CAPTIVE PURSUIT" for example, Kira is trying to hand him a phaser but Odo says, "You know I never use those." (He also mentioned in "EMISSARY" that he doesn't allow weapons on the Promenade after Sisko uses his phaser.)

He's probably the most nonviolent Security Chief the franchise ever had, which makes sense because with his abilities, though very limited compared to other Changelings, he didn't really need weapons.

a missed opportunity of YE was not having worf command the Klingon ships at the end.

Good point. We see what he could have done instead in "To the Death", where he (non-lethally) clobbers a bunch of Jem'Hadar at once.

True, but he had no issue with using his abilities.

But the point is still valid, he doesn't need to just punch enemies when he can entangle or bludgeon them. Especially true since a lot of the Klingons had disruptors, which will kill Odo just like they will any other person.

    Exactly!

How many good officer's deaths were on his hands in "Way of the Warrior" because Odo basically did nothing with his abilities? Everyone in this thread is saying how capable he is but the show rarely showed it. Martok changeling even called him out on it.

(Funny that I'm arguing against him when he was probably my favourite character on that series )

Odo is still limited by the episode's FX budget. Indeed, that actually was the excuse used for why Paradise Lost when he used the Vulcan neck pinch on the security guards while trying to free Sisko.

Takes zero budget for a security officer to show up to ops and tell the amazing tale of seeing Odo turn into a tidal wave and wash the Klingons into the brig.
