Of the original heroes, Luke. Of the new ones, I'm most curious about Rey and Finn. I want to find out if Rey is really a Skywalker (she bears such a resemblance to Carrie Fisher, Natalie Portman, and Pernilla August that I can't help but assume she is), and I want to know if Finn is actually Force sensitive or if he's just wielding that lightsaber out of desperation.

Luke, Han, and Leia. Hands down that's what I will fight the crowds to see, and pay the exorbitant popcorn prices for, when I go to the theater.

Old characters? Chewie, Luke and the droids.
New characters? Rey. I love Daisy Ridley already and I can't wait to see her in action.

My official answer would of course be Luke.
However, I personally would love to see Jar Jar make an appearance. The sounds of the outraged audiences, internet and world suddenly screaming out in terror would be so totally worth it.

If I had to pick one, I think I'm most interested in seeing what Carrie Fisher does with Leia. I've seen enough of Ford and even Hamill over the years to have a good sense of where they're likely to go with it, but I don't think I've seen Fisher in a role since 'Jay & Silent Bob' and haven't see her play anything straight (even in interviews) since...damn, I don't know....'The Burbs' maybe?
Mostly I'm curious if she can still do the voice.

With Ahsoka being brought back in Rebels and her ultimate fate as yet unwritten it's certainly a possibility that an elderly Ahsoka could appear in one of the new movies. It'd be very interesting to see how a flesh-and-blood actress can pull off the role after more than seven years of Ashley Eckstein voicing and giving such a distinctive personality to the character on both TCW and Rebels.

Oh, and you're assuming she'd be elderly - but I don't think we know how her species ages, really.
Hopefully, they would just actually get Ashley Eckstein for the role. They clearly modeled Ahsoka's face on hers, and she has the right build, too. I've spoken with her face to face before, and it was kind of an odd experience after watching Ahsoka on TCW.

Luke. Leia & Han's story pretty much wrapped up, I couldn't care less about them.
Han still running around as a trader captain at 75 is actually a bit depressing. If they HAD to have him, make him a general or governor or something. What, is he still in debt or something?
