Where's the avatar contest?

Is it just me or is there no avatar contest in the Enterprise forum? I enjoy them in the other forums, so it's a pity I can't find the ENT avatar contest. If I haven't been searching good enough for it, could someone post a link to it?

Or, if there really isn't a ENT avatar contest, then I think it's really time someone (or me) started one.

Wow, I didn't even notice it was gone. Yes, there most definitely used to be an ENT avatar contest. I entered it several times in the past. But I guess there was a point when there were just too many of theses contests. orac and I run the contest over at the TOS forum, and at one time it became apparent that people were entering less and less. And I think that is due to the fact that there are just too many of them. Heck, sometimes I don't even have time to enter my own contest. We now have only one category, which, I feel, brings more people to enter. But that could very well be a false conclusion. However, I like our current set of maybe five or more participants. We even get some new guys from time to time.

yes, i do know. i'm the one who sent it away. we weren't getting entries. a week would pass and there'd be three players. not much of a contest.

so i figured we needed a break from it. anyone want to start it up again, i'd be happy to play.

I know the feeling. When the VOY av contest started a few years ago there were usually 10+ entrants. Now I'm happy when there are five. Just seems to be an over saturation of av contests right now. There is a pretty cool core group of people who participate regularly. Plus the occasional new person.

The VOY av contest is slowly winding down towards Endgame. So in a year or so there will be one less.

We've been contest-less for a while now...perhaps it is time to have another go at a contest. I think limiting it to one category might be a good idea to get things rolling.

By all means, apenpaap, start one up. Someone posted a link to the last contest, I believe, and I grabbed another random contest from a while back. What do you have in mind--episodes, or episode-related themes...?

Uh, OK. All avs must be no larger than 140x140 pixels and file size a maximum of 70kb.
The person who wins the contest runs the next one (in this forum, anyway). You can decide to use a theme, or an episode. In the past we've had an episode, a related theme, and a random theme all at once.
