Where were you when....

Just to see how much our lives have changed since the end of TNG in 1994. How many of you still live in the same house, or heck, in the same city as you did back then? Its been 14 years since TNG ended, a lifetime ago it seems...

I live about 1200 miles away from where I did then, and have been through a 12-year marriage and divorce. I was living in a bedroom with my parents then, now I'm a homeowner (though thanks to the divorce, that probably won't be the case in the long term). I weigh about 35 pounds more than I did then, which isn't a bad thing, as I used to be painfully skinny.

Hadn't thought about it before, but....wow. I was only 9. I still remember it though, as my brother got me watching around the middle of season 6.

So yeah, my life's changed a lot since grade 4

I live in the same house and I'm married to the same man. I was 28 when TNG ended, apparently! I came to this place to settle down and here's where I've stayed. :)

I was in our family room, 62 miles from where I live now, and looking forward to starting Kindergarten...someday.

Same house, same city.

However, not the same cats, and several family members/friends have died. :(

I've been in and out of the hospital, and learned a lot of things computer-related.

But mainly I just went from being old enough to be a mother, to being old enough to be a grandmother.

I was born in the same year when TNG started filming - 1987. :)
But I saw i for the first time about 5 years ago and I loved it immediately.
(It's not my fault for this big delay, it's because the whole TNG was on tv in my country for the first time 5 years ago).
I actually grew up with Voyager (I even didn't know that TNG exists while I was watching Voyager) but TNG is now my favorite (with Voyager as second).

I was six when it finished, turned 7 in the summer of 1994. In the August of that year my brother was born.

Since then, I passed the entrance exam for my secondary school, passed an exam that meant I could have a scholarship for my last two years at school, passed GSCEs, A-Levels and gained a 2.1 in my Film Studies degree.

So, not much has changed really. ;)

I still love TNG. I also love Voyager.

'94, well let's see...I did catch the finale, but I'd missed most of s6-7. I was tightly wound into a college music program. A neurotic, balding, 20 year old virgin, grooving on music theory and songwriting, manically depressed, working in a beverage center, wandering the park at night and leaving strange letters on girls' porches and cars. That about sums it up.

I was 8 then, I'm closing on 22 now. So it'd be pretty sad if nothing had changed in that time

Though thinking about it...

Let's see...1994? I was 27, unhappily single, working in a job I absolutely despised, still living with my parents, driving a clunker of a car.
Now, 2008? I have been married for 12 years, I have a different job which I very much like. My wife and I have bought a house, sold it and bought a bigger house. We have 3 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats, and we've bought and replaced several cars. I've since had a heart attack (on LeVar Burton's birthday. Go figure.) They've built two new Disney theme parks.
It's been a busy 14 years!

I'm quoting you to say I love your avatar...how did you get it?

I was 21. Now I live on the other side of the world. Not that that means anything.

I was 24 when it ended and living in Pickering, Ontario. Now I'm 36 and not living in the same city, country or even continent!

A woman I talked to at the Balloon Fiesta in Bristol the other week was talking to me and the officer I was with about police getting younger; thing is she was talking about him, and he's 34  He wasn't impressed.
