I don't have a place-related memory attached to learning that JFK had been shot, but I'd have to guess that I would have been at home. I do remember being up very early one morning (west coast time) sitting in the living room with my grandmother (who happened to be visiting at the time) and watching the funeral on TV.

Her real name was Eva. But we NuYawkas tend to pronounce things a little differently, and so "Aunt Eva" came out "Aunt Diva". And so i thought that was her name 'til i was like, 14.
