Tuvix was fully capable of hiding his Katra in someone before he allowed himself to be executed. In fact using his own demise as a distraction/diversion while he took root in someone's psyche might actually explain why he so calmly dug his own damn grave.

Tuvix's Katra could have not only been in any one, but been in a lot of anyones.

:)

(You can pick/tick as many options as you want in the poll.)

Who had sudden personality changes, mood swings, and inexplicable headaches all the time? Who was the least emotional over capping Tuvix? Why did Janeway not care? She's got Tuvix's katra running the show.

He has the will of two men!! He can do anything!

But what's the point of katras anyway. You just float along, trapped, in someone's body?

Mark Leonard comes looking for you.

Also I voted for Naomi Wildman because Tuvix is creepy as fuck and that is exactly what he would do. Go for the most vulnerable.

Or Kes, that could explain why she went nutty when she ascended.

So it was TUVIX that blew up the ship?!!

It's like early stalker Neelix fully realized.

YOU KILLED ME JANEWAY! AND YOU REJECTED ME KES!

boom

Everybody Tuvix hates loses.

Ready for Star Trek: SVU

The EMH does not have a flesh and blood brain or a Katra, or a Katra garage to park his katra if he had one.

If Tuvix assumed control of Janeway, and then killed himself, that is tidy, and the real Janeway, who is thereafter either dead or trapped in a box in the back of her mind, is not a #####.

Before taking over baby Naomi, it would not have been difficult to force brain death in the little girl with a hypo shot of the right stuff.

Surely if it was possible to kill someone's brain just before forcing your katra into them in a position of control the Vulcans would be doing it all the time?

There's no such thing as the Vulcan death grip!

They talk about Medical Melds at one point. Actually right at the end in Endgame.

But if they can make a fucked up brain healthy, there's no reason it's not as easy to make a healthy brain fucked up.

Storing a katra in a person is dangerous and terribly tenuous.

The world "soul banks" is bouncing on my frontal lobe.

Wasn't there a football sized glowing pine cone they could put katra's in at one point?

ew really?

I dunno. The whole thing sounds stupid. Almost as stupid as keeping someone's ashes on your mantlepiece and then passing them down to your kids to keep and then they have to drag them with them every time they move because, Grandma.

Vulcans can probably partition their minds, and store Katras without it interfering with their lives, unlike stupid humans (McCoy and Archer).

Remember katra's were not stored by the entire race until after the Kirshira was found and Melding was then possible for all and not thought of as a mutation that only some, very few were capable of.

200 years.

Vulcan's can live for three hundred years.

That's what 2 generations that had the option to be katraed, even though they were raised to believe that Melding is dirty, disgusting and morally abominable.

(The allegory for the rise of homosexual approval is not subtle.)
