Where was the sequel?

LXG I read online was exactly the way Alan Moore wanted to write the screenplay/treatment. He always intended for the film version to be significantly different from the graphic novels as far as I know the story. Disappointing too because the graphic novels are outstanding.

I've always wanted a sequel to "Super Mario Bros" ya ya the movie was lame and deterred from the video game big time but it was fun and I enjoyed it at the time. I always wondered what the hell the Princess and the Kingdom were at war with. Perhaps Boswer?

I echo the sentiments regarding "Lost in Space".

Stargate II (had ID4 not happened I would have written the sequel similar to what ID4 with the Gu'old coming to Earth in their ships and Jack going through the Stargate to recruit Daniel to stop them)
The Incredible's
Serenity II
Superman: The Man of Steel (Singer, Harris, and Daugherty)
Masters of the Universe 2: The Return of Skeletor!!! (my own title for the sequel which of course became the movie Cyborg)
Ghostbusters III
The Incredible Hulk II (I dug the first Norton Hulk)
Unbreakable
Zombieland 2
The Chronicles of Riddick (glad we seem to be getting one)

Stargate II (had ID4 not happened I would have written the sequel similar to what ID4 with the Gu'old coming to Earth in their ships and Jack going through the Stargate to recruit Daniel to stop them)

IIRC, ID4 kinda was Emmerich and Devlin's idea of a Stargate movie sequel. Their idea became Independence Day, and the Stargate franchise, of course, became the shows.

Whatever happened to Dusk Watch, the 3rd movie in Timur Bekmambetov's Night Watch series?

Oh, yes - I wanted that one too. Those flicks were so wild! What happened was Wanted. Bekmambetov said that doing that took the place of the third Night Watch movie.

Enough to make baby Jesus cry, ain't it?

Was that the order? I can never remember which was supposed to be the sequel: ID4 or Stargate.

Yeah the idea was that ID4 would have been the sequel to Stargate as far as I understand it or at least as the poster stated a close approximation to what they wanted to do.

Unbreakable. It screams for a sequel. I feel like M. Night could make it for a low budget too, and not need it to make a huge profit to work, if Willis and Sam Jackson will come on for lesser paying roles.

^^ This is my favorite of M's work. I would only go if it I was sure it was good..his recent material has been, well, lacking. So...I would be wary..

Let me throw these out there,
Flash Gordon, This one really needed a sequel. Hail Ming!
The Shadow, We only scratched the surface of this character.
The Phantom, Again a character we only barely got to know(I guess SyFy is about to totally ruin this character now.)
Dick Tracy needed a prequel. Killing off all the cool charcters in the first reel was just wrong.

I would have liked a Speed Racer sequel with the Car Acrobatic Team.
LXG and Lost in Space also get the nod.

I think Sam Raimi is supposed to be doing something with The Shadow.

Dick Tracy needed a sequel, but Warren Beatty just hasn't followed up on it.

A sequel to Serenity would be awesome.
I'd also like to see a sequel to Mission to Mars, Waterworld, and perhaps a total remake of the Black Hole.
