Because I was talking about the specific universe we've seen in ALL the previous Trek shows. This one is using a new universe that already seems quite different, I mean they blew up Vulcan ffs.
It's pure art. This is inspired, btw.And now that I know the truth, that the bling was cheap flare and the love the sad pining of a fan trying to hang onto her youth I'm going to have to say goodbye. It's okay, I'll be alright. I'll pop Amok Time into the vcr and let the fight music sooth me.
Please explain why the use of an alternate timeline in NuTrek is any different than the multiple alternate timeline stories in other Trek.I see it as a fantastically, fleshed out, distinct and unique universe against which many stories can take place.

Explain? Sure it's easy, previously we weren't "threaten" with being stuck in the alternate timeline. Please explain why the use of an alternate timeline in NuTrek is any different than the multiple alternate timeline stories in other Trek

I can see the being stuck thing bothering people.
We're trying to have a serious discussion here, you know? It's true. Prime Trek is dead.
Who's up for a wake?

Prime Trek was a dead corpse long before NuTrek.![]()
Its not about it "threatening" Trek lore, its about the fact that its not the Trek I want to see take over. I want to see the Trek franchise that we know and love CONTINUE, what we're getting is an almost completely new reinvention with hugely different visuals and approach.

Could it be - and this is a very radical suggestion - could it be that the problem is that 'Nu Kirk' is a very dominant alpha male that women the world over want to have sex with, and you are not?

I don't want to have sex with him. What I want, and I want this very badly is for him to have sex with NuSpock.
Well excuse me for actually liking "Prime Trek" and feeling that wasting 28 seasons of material by basically throwing it and the garbage and ignoring it for the rest of Trek's days is kind of...a waste.
