If Abrams continues to crank out really good movies and he wants to continue doing so then people like xortex are going to be SOL for a long, long time. What those kind of fans need to realize is that TREK isn't made for them. It's made for the widest audience possible, and if we're lucky the lifelong, hardcore fans are taken into strong consideration. But it's not made for us and solely to entertain our band of devoted followers and fanatics. If it were, TREK wouldn't make much money and it would have been on life support or dead a long, long time ago.
