When you were a child

Miss Chicken

Little three legged cat with attitude
Admiral
what did you want to be when you grew up?

I remember that when I was about 12 I wanted to be an archaeologist.

A detective! I read far too many junior detective novels.

The majority of my life, however, I wanted to be a doctor.

I wanted to be a biologist, moving into the canadian wilderniss and study wolves.

TerokNor

For years and years I wanted to be an astronomer.

For awhile I wanted to be a psychiatrist.

Then I wanted to be a philosopher and/or writer. Which is still what I want to be when I grow up.:sigh:

For some bizarre reason, I wanted to build boats. I have no idea why... but before then I was pretty set on being a Ghostbuster. Actually... I still am...

When I was a kid I wanted to be an Air Force pilot. But I got glasses when I was 14. So instead I went to college and got a degree in computer engineering. However after working a couple of years in that field I decided to join the Air Force. Not as a pilot, but as an IT specialist.

Pop star, writer, or housewife (like my mommy). Preferably housewife to Jordan Knight from NKOTB.

I wanted to be a mountain climber.
Now I can't stand those types that wear North Face gear all the time and climb indoors.

When I was in Kindergarden, I wanted to be a Paleontologist (I actually knew how to spell that word then too ;) ). After I gave up that idea, I pretty much had no idea for several years).

I wanted to be an astronaut, but I'm too short. Then I decided I wanted to be a doctor or a physicist.

The funny thing now is that I hate math. I'm in law school.

I wanted to be a pilot for years, but then I realised my eyes are too bad for that. Then I wanted to be a biologist for a while.

To be queen, and in the traditional sense of being the head of government.

I fancied making all the big decisions, and nurturing the growth of my country towards my vision of how the future should be.

Strangely, for much of my young years, I wanted to be left alone. Not poor. Just alone.

I was interested in earthquakes and astronomy (living in Pasadena) and thought about a geologist or astronomer. But everyone told me I'd be an engineer like Dad--he was proud of that, but didn't really like the idea. He loved his work but not some of the people/bosses. I ended up in aerospace--but now I'm studying for the Bar.

Dad had suggested to me when I began working in aerospace that I should consider law. I didn't have a Bachelor's and was just starting work, so I dismissed that. I may never work as an attorney, though.
