When will someone officially name the new Enterprise?

After a year, there still doesn't seem to be an official concensus on what to call the Alternate Enterprise. Every other personification of the ship has its own designation.

I've heard names like JJprise, NuEnterprise, Abramsprise, but nothing to give it official status. Remember, from now on, this ship is going to be the real deal and can't keep being treated as a novelty. It needs its own Identity.

Any ideas? Realistic ideas, that is.

The original Enterprise is NCC-1701. The alternate reality Enterprise is ΝCC-1701.

The joke is invisible because the capital Nu in the latter is visually indistinguishable from the capital En in the former, but it’s funny inside my mind.

OK, it isn’t even that, but it will be after a smoke.

It is the Enterprise! no bloody A, B, C, D, or E. Even in an alternate reality its the same ship of legends.

Which doesn't help much, as Kirk's "original" D Enterprise donned the identity of The Enterprise long ago.

To me it's the "2009 Enterprise" or maybe the "alt-1701".

But only when I'm somehow comparing it old Trek ships. Since there's only one (no-one cares what Admiral Archer was doing 100 years ago ), when talking about nuTrek it's fairly obvious we're talking about the nuEnterprise.

No it's not. The Jellyfish did more in Trek09 than the Enterprise did. All the film did to give the Enterprise more oomph was making it the flagship of the Federation, which was NOT the case for the original Enterprise.

So you're saying that the 2009 Enterprise being the flagship somehow makes it less important than the TOS 1701?

The new Enterprise was involved in the mission that saved the Earth. It took five years and a complete rebuild before the TOS/TMP Enterprise could say that.

Even Archer's Enterprise could say it after only three years.

I'd say the 2009 ship did quite well for itself on it's first mission.

My point is, I'm sick of having to refer to it as 'The Enterprise from the new movie'. I'll start talking to someone about the ship and the first thing they ask is, 'Which one, the new one or the old one?'. 'The one from the new movie. The 2009 Enterprise. The reimagined one, etc, yada yada yada!'

Hahahahahaha:). Yep, here I am again:D. I just call it the Fuglyprise. It's the only starship named "Enterprise" that I can truely call Ugly. All the others, even the "B" and "C" were beautifullly designed, well proportioned, fully functional looking ships. The Fuglyprise, on the other hand, is none of those things. But that's for another discussion.

"Mine's better! Yours is ugly! Wahhh!"

Are you an 8-year old, Zim?

I was just going to call it the new Enterprise, until a newer Enterprise came along. But now that you mention it, how about Krimpledimpledingledong? :wtf:

It would at the very least save the three seconds it takes to let someone know which one you're talking about.

The Reinventerprise?

The Inauthenterprise?

The Dissenterprise?

The Primogentriprise? (Or would that be the TOS Enterprise?)
