They've released some collections of old Atari games for modern systems, so you can play them that way too.
1) I got my first cellphone in the fall of 1998, and I strongly doubt that I've used any public phones since then. That summer I was interning in Spain, and I used to call my parents once a week from a public phone. 2) My husband has the original versions of Star Wars (1977) and The Return of the Jedi on VHS, and we watched them on either side of the 40th anniversary showing of The Empire Strikes Back, which we saw in theater. But I can't remember when I watched anything on VHS before that. I didn't even know my husband had hidden a VCR somewhere in our house...
I think it was like 1996 when I got rid of my VCR. As for cellphones: I had the occasional cell back in the day, but I didn't dump my landline until I got my first iPhone which was 10 years ago. That's also when I ditched cable.
