When is the best time to watch Section 31?

I know a lot of you will say "Never", but having bought the Blu Ray because it was going cheap I'm going to watch it sometime.

I'm currently watching the Discovery box set, I've watched season 1 and the first four episodes of season 2 so far.

I was going to wait until I'd worked my way through all five seasons because the movie was released after them, so I assumed that it followed on from all of Discovery.

However, the specials on s2 disc1 reveal that Section 31 is going to feature often in upcoming (for me) episodes. So the question is, would it be useful for me to watch the movie now, so as to familiarise myself with things/people before they appear in Discovery episodes, or would doing so expose me to spoilers.

Definitely do not watch it during season two of Discovery.

Also, in terms of spoilers it is not generally a good idea to watch the extra features before finishing a season.

I recently completed a DSC rewatch and I'm actually watching 31 as I type this. I could have watched it right after Terra Firma but I wanted to complete my series rewatch. I think I might watch Yesterday's Enterprise after this.
