When I see Trek actors in stuff I just imagine its their character on

Re: When I see Trek actors in stuff I just imagine its their character

No, unless they're not very good actors who can only play themselves like Robert Beltran.

Professor X seems like a mentally-augmented Picard.

IIRC, in the X-Men/TNG crossover series, there was an explanation as to why Captain Picard and Professor X looked remarkably similar (the comic went with the idea that Professor X looked like the Bryan Singer version).

I'd be lying if I said I did.

Re: When I see Trek actors in stuff I just imagine its their character

I pretend they're men and women doing a job.

I'm weird that way.

Re: When I see Trek actors in stuff I just imagine its their character

Actually, the familiarity of an actor playing one part too long can create a bias against hiring them for that very reason (the reason of "oh look it's Data playing in a romance movie") this is referred to as type casting.

Only occasionally.

Like on this occasion:

I think you haven`t watch the cult classic ""Eating Raoul" yet. You should.
The Criterion Collection releases an extras-laden version of cult comedy Eating Raoul on DVD and Blu-ray.
The film is anchored by engaging performances from Bartel, Woronov and Beltran. They breathe life into the satirical screenplay...

That was just dodgy.

I will be honest, and say that I couldn't get through an episode of Seventh Heaven without thinking that the family was headed by an ancestor of Will Decker, who happened to marry Gillian Taylor's identical twin sister...

No, I don't. Mind you, I like the cut of your jib.

When Michael Dorn played Beckett's psychiatrist in Castle; kind of sounded like Counselor Worf, which was just weird (and cool at the same time).
Otherwise, no.

Its funny you mention this OP since I watched an early season of Dallas where Kate Mulgrew played a country singer and it struck me funny to think that Capt. Janeway likes Dallas holodeck adventures. LOL

Re: When I see Trek actors in stuff I just imagine its their character

There was a "Spiderman" episode which featured William Smithers(I think that's his name) and Andrew Robinson. (Merrick and Garek.) Can't do holodeck adventures with cross-cast persons.

It must be Lore instead of Data, then, in that movie where Brent Spiner has some people locked up in a cage, since emotion is shown. (No idea what the movie's name is, and I frankly don't give a crap.)
