It's always management who's overpaid, and the workers who have to fight tooth and nail to get the bare minimum of what they're entitled to.

Then it's odd that you're so unsympathetic to the importance of unions in protecting workers' interests. TV writers may make a decent amount per episode, but it's very unsteady work for most of them, unless they get a series staff gig, which there are only so many openings for -- especially in this era of shorter seasons and smaller writing staffs.
