What’s wrong with ENT?

"Since before your sun burned hot in space and before your race was born, I have" been a fan.
But seriously, it would have been when I was a wee lad watching those bright and colorful TOS episode reruns on the TV and then this new show with the English Frenchman and the ship that looked like a turtle shell debuted, even though I didn't quite understand it all at the time.

Whichever you prefer.
To avoid derailing the thread let's stick to some highlights:
Archer is an idiot.
Archer is an asshole.
Archer really came across as the least qualified person to represent humanity in space.
T'Pol constantly acting like she hates everybody around her (though this got better)
Inventing new reasons why a Vulcan might dislike humanity (they smell and Vulcans don't touch food, even though they totally did in TOS)
All the crew are kind of idiots and assholes, probably in over-zealous attempt to avoid the "perfect" 24th century humans leading to a show that looked like it celebrated humans for being stupid, prejudiced and vulgar
That "temporal cold war" nonsense.
That redneck farmer who shot the Klingon
Klingons being shoehorned into the prequel show and behaving exactly like 24th century Klingons
That m-preg episode
The captain dragging his dog along even though, as the most primitive ship, they should have struggled with the bare necessity
Archer letting that dog urinate on sacred trees
Mayweather being ignored even though he could have provided a lot of interesting stories with space faring humans.
etc. etc. etc.

I liked Archer. I though Bakula was the third best captain of Trek, behind Kirk and Picard.

I liked all the cast and characters of ENT, but would agree some of the cast never really got their day in the sun, which is standard for Trek in general,

I hated the way Vulcans were portrayed overall on ENT, but thought Blalock’s portrayal was very good, behind only Nimoy and Mark Lenard.

ENT handled the Klingons better than any of the Bad Reboot stuff has, but understand why fans would have problems with them showing up in ENT, especially so early.

Overall I enjoyed the show, even though it ranks only above VOY on my list (which goes TOS, TNG. DS9, ENT, and VOY).

So?
You are allowed to like the show.
And I am allowed to dislike it.
Of course you are. I wasn’t looking for a debate. I simply asked why you didn’t like it. Since you took the time to share your opinion, I thought I would do the same. I’m sorry it got you so bent out of shape.

I'm not bent out of shape, I just didn't understand what your intentions were.
I thought you were trying to refute my opinion with yours, since that is what generally happens in discussions like that.

No. I’m not in the business of trying to change one’s opinions. Just curious why you didn’t like it. I wasn’t looking to debate or challenge you on it.

I first encountered ST in strip syndication on KCOP-13 (when it was owned by Chris-Craft [yes, part of the same company that makes boats]), in a block that also included (as I recall) Get Smart and I Dream of Jeannie. I caught the end of "A Taste of Armageddon," and the beginning of "Space Seed"; the first episode I saw all the way through was "The Devil in the Dark."

My first Trek was Original Series during 70s syndication rerun era, along with Filmation Star Trek: The Animated Series, and Mego figures.

I liked the Motion Picture and Wrath of Khan well enough, and it took me a while to get into, but eventually became a fan of Next Gen, DS9 and Voyager.

I forgot to mention, my mom took my brother and I to Space-Con (Star Trek convention, Los Angeles, 1977), at the tender ages of 8 and 6.

My memory is foggy, but I do remember someone had a 70s white panel van decked out like the Shuttlecraft Galileo, and we bought arrow-head/delta insignias (science for me, command for my brother).
