What's your TNG guilty pleasure?

Mine is Genesis. It's a retarded premise, but it's so much fun to watch. Barclay as a spider, Worf as a giant angry thing, Picard as a surrender monkey - genius!

Ditto. Sure it's goofy, but it's lively and more fun than any number of more "serious" episodes.

"These Are the Voyages"

I'd list more but it's been years and years since I've actually seen much TNG, and thus can't really comment. :p

I actually decided to watch Masks after my previous post. I think Brent Spiners acting as Ihat is delightfully cheesy and fun to watch. According to Memory Alpha, Spiner was given the script only one day before filming. I also liked the set designs as the Enterprise was getting transformed, and I thought the episode has some neat music too.

Because of this thread, I decided to also re-watch Sub Rosa. I thought it was also a nice bit of cheesy fun.

I just love the scene where Picard walks in on Crusher while she is... uh... you know.

I find a majority of season five to be a guilty pleasure, "Disaster", "Power Play" and "Cause & Effect" to name a few...

^ Eh, to me it is. In what other episode can I see the Enterprise getting blown up over and over again?

It's "Captain's Holiday" for me. Patrick Stewart with his shirt open....well, do I need to say anymre?????

Probably "The Naked Now". Data gets some action and it's the only time that Wesley has an excuse for being a complete douche.

I like "Genesis" and "Masks" an awful lot. The science of both episodes is silly, but they're also filled with a terrific sense of atmosphere that carries the premises a long way.

But a "guilty pleasure" is on a show/episode you watch despite it being awful. There's no reason to be "guilty" watching C&E because it's pretty universally liked.

It's almost universally-reviled, but I liked Sub Rosa, I thought the gothic tone was spot-on.

Loved The Game too.

Let's see...

-Genesis - it's just a lot of fun!

-Emergence - I have a friend who hates this episode but I enjoy it ("Last stop: Vertiform City!")

-Elementary, Dear Data - isn't this considered one of the good episodes?

-Clues - not a great episode, not a bad one, but I love it

-Schisms - my friend and I laugh at the woman who shows up in the conference room and holodeck scenes; we've never seen her before or since and all of her answers to Troi's questions are one- and two-word sentences (Worf: "The table was long." Woman: "Yes. Long.")
