What's Your Name?

I'm Sean. A few people also call me "Chicky" or "Chick", stemming from my last name. I also have a few compadres who will refer to me by characters I've played on stage, so Ike and Sam Craig are pretty common nicks as well.

Hi my name is Alex and i'm an alcoholic.

No wait. That's not right. Those days are different and ... :o

I'm Alex. Not Alexander or Alejandro, you damn gits!

Oh we're doing nicknames too? In that case, Rakhee has turned into a lot of things. Rak, raks, rakster, rox, roxy, rockstar, pooks, pookies, pookie pies, or just "yo Adrian!"

People started changing up my screename too. I often sign off PMs as Kes, and have people call me Kes, Kessy, or Kessa.

Hooray for Eriks spelled with a K.

I have the same name, btw.

As for nicknames, I have one or two, but they tend to evolve naturally within small groups and aren't really universal, so I don't go around introducing myself as any of them.

Rick Hutchins. Type me into Amazon. I dare ya. :p
And, yes, RJ is one of my real-life nicknames.

I wondered who you were. I've seen your name on Facebook...mutual trekbbs friends.
Yup, that's me.

Scott.

anyone calling me Scotty gets "AH CANNAE DOO IT CAP'N AH DOON'T HA' THA POW-AH!!!' back at them.

I was building something with a good friend Scotty. He put his confusion about the build down to 'not being an engineer' and had no idea why I found it funny.

Anyway - Kevin James Tyler. Though only one friend has called me by my first name in years and we both looked at each other as if he'd just spat on my mother when it happened.

I wasn't born with that name - it was kind of adopted/changed through work.

My name is Patrick.

People always ask if I prefer Pat or Patrick. I mean all the time. It's nice of them to ask, but there must be a lot of Patricks who go postal when you call them Pat for it to be such a common question. I don't care one way or the other.

And no, it's not related to that androgynous 'It's Pat' sketch from SNL, because I used to get the question long before that.

Most people who know me here already know my name, I'm a Joanne but also answer to Josie or Jo.

I used to hate it but I kinda like it now, it suits me.

I'm Torbjörn (which is a Viking name that comes from the name of the thunder God Tor combined with the Swedish name for "bear"). Also got the the middlenames Jan (a short version of Jahan which is German for John as I understand it) and Mikael (my international name, since I can just use it as "Mike").

Usually called by my name or just "hey, you".

And it did it with Mjölner, a hammer that summons lightning and returns even if it's thrown

That's a damn cool name. Mind if I steal it if I ever decide to have a middle name? :p Or make something similar to it.
