almost frosty night (4°C at 7 am) but now it's a lovely warm and sunny day. There's a thin veil of mist in the sky that somehow manages to create an autumn-ish feeling. Feels odd. Like time got warped.
Ah, maybe it's just my lack of sleep (had to work on Sunday) or the dirty windows at my office (they get cleaned only once a year)
slightly misty but rather hot and humid. Perfect heart attack & stroke weather. Everyone complains they've been sleeping badly for days.
We've already had the first "blow-up" on the highway: the road is made of huge concrete slabs covered with a thin layer of tarmac. When there is a big temperature difference between night and day, the concrete slabs expand and where they meet they'll force each other up with a sudden jump. Technically, much like an earth quake. Pretty nasty if you encounter one at 130 mph:
unbearably hot and damp today.
There's a baroque evening at the park across the street tonight (period music, supper and fireworks) but unless it cools down a lot till evening I think I'll skip it and just watch the fireworks at 22:00 from my terrace, with my feet sticking in a bucket of cold water.
