what's your local weather?

The sunshine and warm air are back to help dry things out. It's almost 70 degrees right now.

Some cool winds but compared to the snow we got this day last year, it's pretty good.

Just do a news search and you'll get a general idea.

The past couple of days was non-stop thunderstorms with plenty of heavy rain, dumping a record 15+ inches on us in a single 24-hour period. Major flooding everywhere, several chunks of road washed out (including part of a local highway).

I would say "But at least we didn't get any tornadoes", but really what we got was worse than what a few tornadoes could have done. :(

My brother's at an AFB in Florida and the base has been closed due to flooding. He has a bunch of furniture in a storage unit and there's a good chance it's all ruined.

I'm in VA and live in a finished basement, and it got flooded by 3 inches or so. So I'm homeless for the next 2 weeks while they replace the baseboards, floors, furniture, etc. I'm staying with a friend, but he has no internet!

No internet? Torture!!

Here, it's 80 F and sunny, no rain in sight for next week. Actually, we could use some rain; the whole state could.

Rain! Again! Yesterday I dug a hole to plant a rose bush and when I came back with the rose, the hole was full of water. It wasn't raining that day, but the ground is just so saturated it seeped into the hole from the ground.

we had a bad storm in my section of Virginia last Monday. hail, trees down everywhere. small barns. why am i just now telling you this? because said storm knocked out internet service and its just been restored.
