what's your local weather?

It's -2C, with windchill it's -7C. It's supposed to be above 0 tomorrow. We've sure had a lot of snow lately though. A constant sound heard throughout the city these past few weeks has been the snowplow.

It is currently around 29C (84F) so a bit cooler than the Australian mainland is for example, in Adelaide (where my sister lives) it is 43C (110F) and that still isn't as hot as some other places.

Its 8.45am in Hobart and it is a pleasant 21C (70F). It is a little overcast but it seems to be clearing.

It's +3C (0 with wind chill), and the snow is absolutely perfect for snowballs! :D

The roads are horribly icy, though.

Supposed to be 80+ degrees most of the week, with a fire weather warning. Thanks to the Santa Ana, we are having some fairly strong winds, which knocked over a section of our fence (though it was going to fall at some point, it is mostly supported by trees since the wood has been eaten by termites).

I'd love it if it would rain.

Excellent! Coincidentically, we had the first snow this morning. *grabs 2 handfulls of snow, presses them gently and hurls dumpling-sized snowball at Timewalker* :D

I can't believe that with all this snow in the US none of us thought of starting a snowball fight all across the board. Are we perhaps getting old, I wonder?

I'm about to turn 40 and increasingly dislike extremes in temperature and weather. I started getting grumpy about ice and snow a long time ago ;) , but the kid in me still loves seeing it fall and cover everything. Absolutely loves it. I'm glad Timewalker has all that snow to look at and play with and I wish some of that snow would migrate to my part of the mid-Atlantic. We have yet to see anything more than a few minor flakes this whole season! I might not like the mess that snow and ice cause, but I'm a little kid all over again when a blanket of white coats the area.

Plenty of snow here. But it's so cold in general (other than the heat wave this week) here that it's mostly the dry, fluffy stuff we get that doesn't make for good snowballs. I try to throw them at the dog when we're outside but it doesn't make it far out of my hand before it disintegrates and blows back in my face.

It is 9.35am in Hobart and it is a very pleasant 24C (75F). However it is forecast to get to 38C (100F) today. I have plenty of chilled water in the fridge and I watered my garden at 6.30am.
