what's your local weather?

Well, we had our Christmas miracle. After the clear skies and sunshine on the 23rd, we proceeded to also have a sunny day on the 24th. By the end of the day, it got grey again, and I was worried, but we ended up with no precipitation, and then for the 25th it was sunny again. Since we get so much snow during the winter, I’m not one of those people who actively desires a “white Christmas”, but there was still enough snow on the ground that it should have satisfied those who do. But it didn’t add any new snow that day, and so Christmas itself was sunny and lovely.

The miracle didn’t last past Christmas, however. On Boxing Day, we ended up with freezing rain most of the day. A good day to stay indoors and not go anywhere.

Today it’s grey out, and below freezing, but tomorrow we’re supposed to get a high of 10C, so now I’m trying to decide if I should try to do anything about all the ice, or just wait till tomorrow and let nature take its course.

Haven't had a freeze here. But it looks like a return to fog starting on Sunday.

Here in central Pennsylvania, the first half of December was the coldest such interval since 1989. Indeed, lots and lots of windy days since mid-November. One local television station has doubtless been making merry by issuing various Advisory Days, Impact Days, and Alert Days. I find these helpful as guidance, but they took it a bit far when one perfectly fine sunny day, with no wind (for once), was an Impact Day because the air was purportedly stagnant. I guess they'd prefer the wind to be howling all the time!

Snowing and blowing all day long. Perfect day to stay home, cozy and warm. Unfortunately, I had to go out in it. :sigh:

Dense fog today, switching to rain for tomorrow. Tomorrow the High is 49, low is 47, makes it easy to figure out what to wear when you go outside.
