47 F. Typical winter day for here
Fortunately for me, I'm 250 miles northwest of the fires. We had clear skies and above normal temperatures. High 67 F, Low 42 F. I hope the fires don't spread any further down there. What worries me, is when it finally does rain, if they get too much precipitation on burned out areas, before the vegetation returns, the earth and everything on it, will begin to slide downhill.
Exactly what I was going to writeToo cold. Winter can end any time now.
It could be both a polar vortex and inauguration chill. I am west of the forecasted polar vortex. Finally, no snowfall today! We actually peeked above 0°C today, and we're set to do it again tomorrow too.
Better enjoy it now, because the polar vortex is coming next week...

Wind chill is supposed to be -23 on Monday and -25 on Tuesday, dipping down to -30 overnight.
(Or maybe that's just the chill the inauguration is casting over my country, IDK...)
