what's your local weather?

Though I'm not sure what your measure of that in Canada would be...

 It's not *that* bad... it's not February yet! :shifty:

Today really was just a minor amount. I'm just really not a fan, so any little bit sets me off... ;)

I'm actually fortunate in that I live in the southernmost extent of the country, so we really don't have it as bad here as some other parts of the country. But we do tend to get lake effect snow from the Great Lakes, and if a squall comes in off the lake and the streamer just parks above us, it can get pretty deep pretty fast!

Ah, so you're used to 20-foot drifts, too ? More hugs !

I had to make my peace with the snow when I moved to pretty much the top of a mountain, but I grew up in the Snow Belt - thanks, Lake Erie ! - so it's all good...

We're hardy folk, haha, and if it ever gets too bad I have the sled, which the dogs can't wait to pull, to go into town to get supplies like I'm on Little House on the Prairie !

It had been cooler and windy the last couple days, but today the winds calmed down and it's a bit warmer. I was able to switch out my jacket for a long sleeve shirt with a T-Shirt over it on my bike ride this morning.

Weird weather day today. We got unseasonably mild in the early afternoon, I think the high was around 16°C. Then we got some really, really strong winds that just didn't let up. And the temperature dropped precipitously, so a couple hours after the high, we were only around 5°. The winds kept up into the early evening, and then it started with some sparse, intermittent snow. Now everything seems fairly calm and still, and the temperature is holding around 2°.

Stay safe and warm, Avro ! Even for those not in yesterday's tornado zone the weather was unpredictable and sometimes dangerous...

We didn't have to go down to the storm cellar, but the very high winds had me quite nervous, and I closed all the storm shutters just in case :wtf:

how do you make a degrees sign?

If you're on Windows, it's ALT+0176. (Hold ALT, type the numbers, then release ALT.)

HTH

ETA: Oh yes, for some reason it has to be done on the number keypad, not the number row above the letters. I don't recall why, but Google could probably tell you. If you don't have a dedicated number keypad, then if you have an alternate number keypad accessible through the Fn key, then I think that will work too.
