what's your local weather?

Gray and rainy. And I still have half the backyard of leaves to pick up, and I think next week is the last leaf collection week in my neighborhood.

I bet if I pop my head out the door right now I'll see the beginnings of 2-inches of snowfall per hour until we get around 10-inches or so.

Icy, icy, icy roads. I was within a couple of inches of being rear-ended and had I not inched forward I would've been.

It's been dropping half-frozen water from the sky most of the day yesterday and today.

First snow of the season today. And no dusting, like 8 inches.

And I learned, the plow mound in front of my driveway does not get much higher than the general snow level, which is a relief. I’ve lived places where that mound gets 3 feet high.

Environment Canada has released their official winter forecast, and they're calling for... a milder than average winter across most of Canada?!?

This is in direct contrast to the Weather Network forecast, which called for a colder than average winter across most of the country, and heavy than average snowfall for a lot of us, too. (Which I intended to post in this thread when it was released a couple weeks ago, but apparently didn't, probably because it was too upsetting... ;) )

They obviously can't both be right. I know which one I'm hoping for... but I also have a hunch as to which one we'll actually be getting. :(

I live in Tucson, Arizona, USA. The American Southwest!

It's currently 54 F/14 C at 3:30 am, Friday the 5th (or something) of December.

Going to get up to 67 F today with some clouds, and 72 F tomorrow.

I have Seasonal Affective Disorder really badly, so I get really depressed in cold and dark weather. So the climate here is good for me. And even now, I get noticeably down and anxious this time of year. But's it's manageable with warm caffeinated drinks and getting as much sunshine as possible. But in colder climates (like when I was in Illinois for a while) I get practically catatonic in Winter. Even looking at pictures of snow and cold weather makes me anxious. And I am not joking or exaggerating (I wish I was.)
