It got up to 40.8 (105F) in Hobart today. Highest December temperature ever recorded in Hobart. There is meant to be a thunderstorm on its way.

Cold and sunny, a lovely winter day.
Winter's back! 
After having nice weather (at least compared to what it's usually like at this time of year) for the last couple weeks, I woke up to a layer of snow today. And now it's snowing again. It's not even that cold right now (-2°C), but that's enough for the white stuff.
Fortunately, being my introverted self, I don't have any new year's plans, so I can just not go out in it, for a couple of days at least. And it looks like the end of the week should have highs back up around 6 or 7, before slipping back to sub-zero (and more snow) early next week.

Dreadful. 
Pleasantly unseasonably warm. It's 5°C right now, and also got up to 5° yesterday. All the snow we got at the beginning of the week is now gone! 
Unfortunately, it looks like the next few days are going to be lingering right around freezing, which is bringing a return of the white stuff.
