My last update was last Monday, so let me bring you up to speed on this last week:
On Tuesday, summer decided to make an impromptu one-day curtain call. The high temperature was almost 30 C. The sunshine and summer-like heat with the beautiful colours of the fall leaves made an interesting dichotomy.
... but it wasn't to last. By Tuesday afternoon, severe thunderstorms rolled in, and the rain persisted all through the evening and night.
On Wednesday, temperatures dropped back to fall levels... I think we *maybe* maxed out at 19 C or 20 C. Rained off and on all day.
Thursday was windy and cold. High of 17 C. Didn't wear a coat, and regretted it profusely. Had to turn on the heater in the car for the first time on the way home from work.
Friday the temperatures dropped even more. We only made it up as high as 12 C, and that was really only briefly. Yes, I wore the coat that day. There were both frost and snow watches in effect. Fortunately, we didn't get any snow.
So, we covered weather from late summer, through fall, to early winter. In one week.
