what's your local weather?

Still mild and sunny. The forecast isn't good, though. It'll be freezing cold over the next four weeks. We will see.

Windy as hell.

Very very cold and snowy. As of this morning we has a foot of snow and it's been snowing all day. I'd say we have maybe 15 inches? Somewhere around there. It's about 5F with a wind chill below 0. It's a good day to stay in and work on that puzzle!!

Snow! (it was so unexpected that it took everyone by surprise, some people drove off the road which is ridiculous and only explainable by disbelief about what was happening). The temp is only a couple degrees above freezing so it's melting really slowly!

I was sure I felt the outside temps rising slightly throughout the day. I went from wearing a heavy coat to just my sweatshirt again, but I wasn't sure if it was the weather or just my body adjusting.

Well, it's snowing. Yup, temps went up.

Fascinating things about Winters in cold-weather climates that most people from warm-weather climates don't believe until they experience them: In the Winter, temps tend to rise just before/during snowfalls, and when it's cloudy it tends to be warmer/sunny tends to be colder. It can actually be too cold to snow and the clouds tend to insulate the air, causing [relatively] warmer temps.

And something people in cold-weather climates don't realize and tend to make fun of is that yes, it can be downright frigid in 30°-40°-50° weather where the humidity tends to be higher. We tend to look at people that are complaining about temps above freezing but below about 50°F as kinda weak and fragile, but when those humidity levels are up there, those temps can cause even the more hardened Northerner (US) to shiver.

I still refuse to believe that someone needs to dig their car out of 1/4-inch (6mm) snow as has been described to me by someone in SE England.
