what's your local weather?

If the mods or admins ever see me complaining about the cold in the winter again, please give me a timeout for about a week as punishment.

Complaining about the weather is a British pastime.

Too Hot
Too Cold
Too Wet
Too Dry

And of course our 4 seasons could be described as

Warmish and Wet (Spring)
Warm and Wet (Summer)
Cool and Wet (Autumn)
Cold and Wet (Winter)

I'm noticing a pattern there. ;)

Would you like to trade? Thereu used to be a saying that in my part of the world it's 9 months winter and 3 months cold. Due to global warming it's now:
Spring: hot and dry
Summer: hot and dry
Autmn: wet and cold
Winter: warm and dry

For teh last week or so it's been unbearably damp and hot with 5 minute thunderstorms every evening around 7 pm. The soil is so dry that everything is covered in dust. The ground water level has fallen by several yards already, wells have fallen dry and many streams are on the verge of drying out. There's even a speed limit on the river since big waves might cause the ships to run aground.
The only advantage of the heat and dust is that we get spectacular sunsets.

Big storm moving in with scary looking clouds. No green clouds yet, but I'm keeping an eye on them. We get tornadoes here, but not as often as in Illinois.
