what's your local weather?

It’s gonna rain all day. I’m upset. Wanted to go swimming. Already shocked the pool because I thought it would be nice outside. Bummer.
You are so lucky! The last rainy day we had was 3 months ago. We've had a heat wave since the beginning of April. Many streams and wells have fallen dry, the soil is like concrete. If the noihts weren't as unbearably hot as the days I'd say it's like in the Sahara. But there they at least get some refreshment during the frosty nights.

Is it just here in Bavaria or has the weather gone crazy everywhere?

I’m so sorry to hear that!! I live in a temperate climate, I get a little spoiled. I hope you get rain soon!!

Another day with some rain. We've had rain and storms nearly every day for the last month and a half. Farmers are unhappy and the tourist industry is suffering.

Well it's still Winter here and it's beautiful - too beautiful. Gets a bit cold at night and first thing in the morning but the days are blue sky and sunny. Except zero rain. Until like five seconds ago when we had a shower and I thought "What is that sound??"

Just a promise of quenching the land and then nothing.

Theoretically, Bavaria has a temperate climate as well. I'm almost 10° further north than you are.

Today is damp and hot again. Rather like a greenhouse. Not as bad as the last days, though. The forecast predicts lovely cold 28° for Friday but I don't trust them anymore. There's hope, though: usually, there's a flood period around mid-August. With a little luck we might get rain.

Another day, another storm. We got caught in another torrential downpour today. It blew in pretty quick.

I live on an island suburb of NYC and our summers are always hot and humid with a little salt in the air from the ocean. We also typically get a lot of rain in the summer, but we have had a frighteningly dry summer so far. Very humid, but little rain. This last week, we got a lot of rain, but we are still down quite a bit for the season, overall. It has been over 90 and very humid the last few days and I am over it.

Apparetntly, there was a quite violent thunderstorm yesterday evening and I slept soundly through it LOL. My neighbour was so friendly to rescue my sunshade when it flew past his terrace.
Funny - I can sleep through Armageddon but when my hamster sneezes I'm instantly wide awake.

Today we had a nicely fresh morning but now (10 am) it's already getting unbearable again.

Great minds! Just earlier today I said to a colleague that I am craving for fall.
It's not even 11 here and already the air is as tough as rubber and scorching (or is it scorchingly?? I never get that -ly form right!) hot. I think I'll go home early today and catch up on work tomorrow when it'll be a bit cooler (or so the forecast promises). Thank heavens for flexi-time.

that sounds lovely, Butters =) It must look very pretty.
I adore those big fluffy clouds. As my mom always calls them whipped cream clouds, as a child I thought they really were made of cream and kept hoping one might drop out of the sky. Unfortunately, none has done so yet..

Finally cooler again. It is eleven in the evening. I'm trying to find some falling stars. I guess I've just seen one. It was incredibly fast..... There will be more......
