Yep. We're outside Houston. We're having the occasional rainstorm but that's it.

It's 10:30am in So Cal and we're already at 100°F in Mission Viejo, beating the old record of 99° set in 1993.

Yesterday afternoon, we had a pop-up thunderstorm and flash flood warnings, followed by some neat cloud lightening.

It's been back around 105º-110º the last few days, but we are supposed to cooling back down to the 90s next week. It's so wrong to be looking forward to it cooling down to the 90s.

It's starting to cool back off again now, it's been down in the 100s or 90s the last couple days, and it's supposed to stay around there for at least the next week.

So much smoke in the air from all the fires around here, though none close to us, can't tell. Some people have ash falling all over the place! Not us so far. But it is so hard to breathe out there right now. Feel for all the people fighting the fires and having to leave their homes!
