what's your local weather?

No storms as expected yesterday. At least, not here.

Today is a lot hotter than it is. That Sun is killing me.

Bring on autumn! What little there is of it, anymore.

77 degrees, intermittent rain showers and choking humidity. It rains, then it becomes sweltering again, then we get more rain.

People were actually melting as they were walking down the street. My car door touched my arm and burned it off and now I'm typing with only one hand.

Last evening there was a pretty major wind storm with a torrential downpour.

I had no idea the wind was what it was until I went out and saw branches down all around the area. My next-door neighbors had a rather large branch down in their yard, on top of their gate. I helped move the branch off of the gate and out of the way of the mail carrier for today. I asked if they'd like me to go get my mom's chainsaws to chop it all up and the husband said that his daughter would be over today to take care of it. A few minutes later the wife said that he'd changed his mind and would like to know if I was still willing to get the equipment, so I did.

We made quick work of it.

To tell the truth, it was my first time in my 45 years that I'd actually started and used a real chainsaw. I've used an electric pole saw before (earlier this year for my dad's party was my first time for that, as well). It was fun.

While everyone else is melting, today is going to be very pleasant. Low 70s F.

I was sweltering the last couple of days while my A/C was malfunctioning, though.

I shouldn't complain too much about Florida. Some places have much worse heat. We never have to shovel the sidewalks and the "tanning while mowing" is second to none.:techman:
I would like to have seasons though... and a swimming pool.

You’re right! We have harsh winters here. It’s not fun getting your car down a narrow 30ft driveway when there’s 20” of snow on the ground.

We went to Clearwater last year, I would gladly trade philly for those beaches ANY DAY!!
