indeedThe refugees can do with a bit of positive publicity as they get (undeservedly) blamed for every crime that happens.
Weather today: hot (35°C) and unbearably humid. I went for a walk at 4:30 am and it was just bearable. The instant the sun rose, it got searing hot.
I have nothing against any weather, but couldn't there please be some sort of gradual transition rather than these abrupt changes?![]()
I just don't know how you cope with this sort of heat and humidity. I have a friend who experiences these temperatures day after day after day. Everything stays hot - the walls, the bricks, the floor. Do you have a cooler day every so often to save your sanity? My doctor advised me that it takes ten days to aclimatise to a new setting. In Tasmania we get days like you are speaking of occasionally, but not enough to adjust to it. Because I travel between my island and the mainland, in summer I just can't cope with the differences. During winter both states are pretty similar - cold!
