N64 followed closely by SNES.
Mario Kart 64 and Super SmashBros - great multiplayer fun

I had tons of fun with my SNES, Gameboy, Genesis, and N64 back in the day, but I'm not often accused of being sentimental, and these platforms haven't done much for me lately. Current favorite is the 360. With Inquisition, my new Xbone is making a decent first impression. Needs a few more good ones before it unseats its predecessor though.

PS2. I've had a fat version for over 10 years now and it still works. Only had to replace the controller and the av cords.

Honorary mentions:

Wii -- I've had one of these for over 7 years now and the only issue I've run into is a slight fan problem that I corrected with a qtip. It's now alright.

Wii U -- Love this system so far. It works pretty well and stays cool.

PS3. It does more than play games. You can watch movies and sports on PS3 system

Well yeah, but you can do that on almost any electronic device in your house now.

i always wondered where the X in the abrieviation of the original playstation came from. (ooh you edgey 90s console!)

i'd probably pick the original xbox. its the thing i had most fun on. and the massive controller fit my hands nicely!

Well it was the 90's so obviously XTREME!.

According to Wikipedia PSX only existed because Playstation didn't test well in focus groups. I can see why I'm prettty sure playstation was a name for one of those toys an infant could play with while laying down. Might not have actually stood for anything.
